Lalu's Indian railways turnaround story is a legend. And it's not only the Indian media but even the French that thinks its a story worth telling.
The Indian media religiously follows his every move this man makes and hangs on to his every word.
But now Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav seems to be on his way to being a global phenomenon.
After US universities, Wharton and Harvard, it's now the French who are interested.
France's leading political and business magazine Valleurs Actuelles is all set to unveil Lalu's charisma and accomplishments to their people.
And its Fabiola Flex's job to paint the pretty picture.
''Well, France does not have a Lalu, so I think people will be glad to hear something about him,'' said Fabiola Flex, Journalist.
When asked if France needs a Lalu, Fabiola said that the French wouldn't mind that part of Lalu, which has brought about a turnaround in the Railways.
The French magazine has been running a series on India Inc. And the legend of Lalu, they thought, would make for good reading but with some censoring though.
''A lot of politicians have a part which is involved with scams, Lalu's part where he made his wife the chief minister is what I don't want but the rest I will take,'' said Fabiola Flex, Journalist.
After making headlines as a management guru its time for Lalu to say 'Bonjour France', but the obvious question remains, why is a French business magazine so excited about the Indian railways minister?
Well as Fabiola puts it, in this world there is only one Lalu.
